The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops
Noah Pinsonnault is a product review analyst for the Home Care and Cleaning Lab at Good Housekeeping.
He reviews and tests cleaning equipment, with a focus on robot vacuums and mopping combos. These multitaskers are an excellent choice for those who want to get mopping off their to-do list. Some have great mapping capabilities and obstacle avoidance. Some even wash and refill mopping pads to ensure a hands-free clean.
The Eufy S1 Pro
If you're looking for a robot vacuum that also mop, this is the model to go for. It's smaller than other options on this list making it easier to maneuver in tight corners and under furniture. It has a 220-degree lidar, which when combined with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it some of the most effective navigation and obstacle avoidance I've ever seen in a robot vacuum. It has a hefty 4600mAh battery that can last for up to 170-minutes when mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it can last longer in turbo). It will even return to the dock to replenish its battery halfway through cleaning.
It's fast and does a fantastic job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It can vacuum carpeted rooms fast and hardwood floors in the living room, kitchen and hallways in just one pass. The suction motor's 8,000pa is quick at picking up dirt, crumbs, and pet hair. Carpet detection increases power automatically when it encounters rugs and the dual side brushes help pull away debris from corners.
The mopping efficiency is less impressive, but not by a lot. The mop rotates quickly and makes use of 2.2lbs to scrub dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arms protrude out slightly more than other robots, which is helpful to get into tight corners and on baseboards. The same front arms can also be used to clean up larger debris, like broken toys or books.
The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mop and vacuums I've used. It doesn't make as loud of a sound while vacuuming or mopping and is much quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The only issue is that the S1 Pro must use a specific cleaning solution to perform mopping and is separate from the vacuum. It's easy to install and is effective, but it's something you'll have to be aware of in case you're purchasing this vacuum for the sole purpose of it mopping.
The Roborock Q Revo
The Q Revo stands apart from most robot vacuums that mops in its class. It is a powerful cleaning machine with a variety of features.
The device is equipped with a powerful and impressive cleaning system that integrates LiDAR sensors with an RGB camera to map the house and identify furniture and other obstacles. It then uses this information to clean efficiently and effectively. This leads to an efficient, consistent clean which is also relatively fast.
The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad can reach many surfaces. This includes baseboards, corners and other hard to reach areas. The side brush can be stretched to reach the floor close to the walls or other fixtures. Additionally the mop pads are able to be washed and dried to avoid build-up and lessen the odors.
App-based customization is yet another noteworthy feature. The Q Revo allows you to adjust the suction level and select either a back-and-forth or a random pattern. You can also select the number of passes which will determine the speed at which it can move around your home. You can also turn off the side brush in order to avoid damaging carpets and rug.
It's expensive, however it has many useful features. It's important to note that it incurs regular costs, such as mopping equipment and maintenance. For example, a brushroll needs to be replaced every six to twelve months or after 300 hours. The filter will need to be cleaned after 150 hours, and the mop pad must be replaced every one to three months.
This robot vacuum mop has a high Amazon rating and comes with many physical automation features. It has the power button that can also function as a general 'Clean' button and a 'Home button that will take it back to its base station after finishing the cleaning process. It also comes with a multi-functional dock that automatically empty the trash bin, fills up its water tank and washes and drys its mop pads.
The Shark Matrix Plus
If you're a professional with a lot of work or someone who wants an organized home that doesn't require a lot of time on chores The Shark Matrix Plus is a excellent choice. It has powerful performance, intelligent navigation, and long battery life that makes it simple to keep your home clean with little effort.
The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop that is, it can do mopping and vacuuming. The robot is divided into two components which include a dry bin and water tank that can be easily snapped in and out and a mopping module which is equipped with a microfiber pad. It's a little old-fashioned to have separate modules for mopping and vacuuming, but it does mean that you don't have to worry about changing disposable bags or refilling the tank with water.
Our test participants discovered that the Matrix Plus did a great job at both vacuuming and mopping. Its best feature was its accurate map of your floorplan, which it uses to determine an outline for cleaning. This made it a breeze for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture carpets, rugs and other obstacles. The app allows you to create 'No-Go Zones' as well as virtual barriers to prevent certain areas from being cleaned by mop.
We also found that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well at picking up pet hair. It was able capture many of the hair shed by our cats, and even made it into the corners and crevices of our stairs where other robots had struggled. It was fairly quiet and had some lovely jingles to let you know when it was about to start or completing its task.
The biggest flaws were its simple app and the need to switch out the modules when switching between vacuuming and mopping. The app can't store multiple maps, which can be a problem when you live in a house with multiple floors. The Matrix Plus is a good choice for people who want a smart robot that is capable of mopping and vacuuming.
The Yiko X1 Omni
The X1 Omni is the most expensive robotic vacuum that is able to mop in our test, but it comes with some unique features that make it worth a look. The X1 Omni's biggest draw is its enormous dock that serves as the robot's charging base and housing for two 4 liter water tanks, a sink for cleaning and the 2.5-liter dust bin that is automatically emptys.
robotvacuummops comes with a couple of buttons for control, which allow you to manually start a cleaning task, recall the robot or run the dock’s auto-emptying procedure. Press two buttons to toggle the child lock. This is a great feature for parents worried about their kids messing around with the vacuum.

Like other robotic vacuums the Omni Omni uses its camera to spot furniture and obstacles in its path and avoid them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.
The X1 can be prone to become stuck if it gets entangled in an obstacle like the power cable that is draped over a rug. It won't work until you manually untangle it. While this was rare however, it was a gruelling experience when it did happen and especially because the X1 Omni does not come with a "stuck" status alert on its app.
Another possible issue is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically switch between vacuuming and mopping modes during a cleaning session. You'll have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't too bad apart from the fact that mopping pads haven't been cleaned and dried between uses and can cause mildew or mold.
The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who designed its sleek modern, contemporary base and mopping pad. It's a huge contrast to the basic black bases of rivals such as Roborock or iRobot. And it's an excellent choice for the market that is dominated by boxes.
